Parameters & Events in 5G Logs

No. Every device need m-gap or drx for inter Freq.
Either one of it must present.

But eNB generally configure inter freq A3/A5 after A2 is reported.
Mgap configuration depends upon UE capability.

Once scell added then UE consider it as intra Freq type HO.
So no gap needed if you measure scell.
Correct?

No.
Few CA devices do not required mgap, because they have separte tx/rx branch to measure inter freq.
I will show you a snapshot from UE capability.

Even without scell.

Please send is it in specs as well, I am not able to find it.

Ok. After the first Scell added (NR2100) the gNB should be send the EventA5?
How can I check the Inter-Frequency between NR2100 and NR3500?

Our system have 2 diferent inter freq ho KPIs.
Inter fre ho rate with mgap.
Inter freq ho rate without mgap.

It’s not scell. i.e. not CA.
It’s ENDC addition.
Don’t mix CA with SCG addition.

Can be possible as I mentioned drx can be used when m-gap not there.

Its w/o drx.

No short and long drx, then it’s very important to check that feature.
Please share details, really helpful.

This is just an example of S9 phone UE capability.
Here there are 8 entries correspond to Band 1.
So when serving cell is of band 1, this UE do not required mgap to measure other inter frequency carrier of band 1, 3,5,8,28. But need mgap/drx for band 38.

Ok thanks dear, understood!
Let me check my UE capability whether all fields are true or false.

Similarly you mean for band 3 there are 8 entries and mapping?

Yes correct.
And similar entries also present for each CA band combination.

CA band combo is different IE in UE capability info.
Our objective is to check without CA inter Freq HO required m-gap/drx or not.

Just due to this huge information, UE capability response has become huge size msg.
So operator cut it down to their own supported carriers.
By means of asking only their respective carriers info in UE capbiliyu enquiry.

Note: What I pasted above is without CA only.

It is about NR Inter-Frequency, between N1 and N78.
Not EUTRA.

Gap 12 to 23 used for NR.
Required m-gap as well.

How can I check it in Layer3?
Do you have any example?
The gap patterns 12 to 23 are applicable for FR2?
I am using FR1.
