NSA Device to identify SA deployed in some areas

Yes correct, we have received the SIB1 even though there was no SA network in that area.

Still I’m not sure why the device didn’t latch to NSA.

There is some Operator specfic config which allows the device to be in SA if LTE coverage goes below a threshold…Any idea about which parameter this can be and how to get that threshold from Ue logs -may be an RSRP threshold.

Have you checked secondaryCellOnly parameter value its true or false.
This is the Parameter to change NR from NSA only mode to Coexistence (NSA/SA) mode.
If this parameter value is false… this will result in changes to the cell to transmit SIB1 and modify the RACH procedure to use coreset#0 for NSA UEs.

gNB can serve NSA and SA devices both symeltaneously of architecture in 7X.

Is this a network parameter?
Can I see these in Ue logs?
If so which message?

This parameter configured on NRCellDU.

Hi, regarding check whether a UE is SA only or SA+ENDC.
I don’t think we reached a definite ans to it from UE capability Enquiry

This is from TS38.331

  1. Iif the requested rat-Type is nr:
  2. Include into supportedBandCombinationList as many NR-only band combinations as possible from the list of “candidate band combinations”, starting from the first entry;

Would the NR only here means it would only report in case it supports SA?

you are really smart. How could you figure that out?
you should be the RAN chair for 3gpp
