Will LTE phase out with 5G evolution like 3G being vanished now?

Depends, I guess.
Systems integration and testing has jobs.
Interoperability tests has jobs.
Maybe drive testing has not.

Old good days are gone. Not so many RF jobs those days.
I wanted to say that everything is automated those days.
Testing, the way we knew it is not done anymore.

RF purely mean KPI, Counter analysis and trending, with very few having system access. This is gap here.

Yes, correct.

Almost everything is being automatically integrated and needs just a config file.
Even vendors now try to integrate 5G SA core automatically with a simple config file with all IP addresses and soem other stuff there.

And I think you’re right… automation is a must :+1:

Yes no new openings. But all positions are intact. No work reduction.

It is reduced.
Lot of operators don’t have large RF departments.

They subcontract work to vendors like Huawei.
And they do the job of extending network.
Some operators don’t even know the PCI plan in their network!
Subcontractors like knows and does everything for them.

Huawei for example makes more money from services than from equipments.

Automation means Python, R, etc. Bla bla which not possible in our age. :frowning:

Cmon !! It’s always time

Sure.
But days are not away when telecom means software defined industry…

Learn basic coding and your possibilities wil increase.
Python to be more specific.
Kids are learning python theses days in school.

Yes, exactly. Difference around 20 year

Yes, Python and future ML will be everything.

For Qualcomm Logs for example, Python is a must otherwise you can’t extract info from *.isf files.
Huge text files are difficult to process without Python.

I remember someone Asked me in interview but I was totally blank no idea still

Interviews these days are a nightmare.
I probably wouldn’t get in now. You need to be a Superman!

I failed an interview due to no Python skills… :frowning:

You can learn it still.
Our brains are still good.
Plenty of material online.
I’ve started learning about 2 years ago.

I spend my time reading parameters and features.
Python can learn any guy from street but telecom is not easy to learn.
