Automatic Cell Planning on Atoll not working

Hi All.

I am trying Automatic Cell Planning on Atoll but not getting results.

Does anyone know the step by step process?

Admin note: this post was updated with image below.

May I know what is your objective of ACP?

Having a network with cell edge throughput 200 kbps and 90% area covered with RSRP of >-112.

I have already added basic step of using ACP hre in forum, please check: TRN 2 | ACP (Automatic Cell Planning) PART 1

Thanks.

We did some other steps…

Our motive was: we created 5 sites only and define a large computation zone to check how many sites it will create automatic to covered that area.

Now we got it.

We were not selecting, current site selection and current candidate selection.

We created only marked sites, then it created automatic other cells/sites.

Yes, if want to expand coverage as the option of ACP should select also candidate site as the option.

And RS CNIR also set as the threshold objective, will be great. :+1:

Hi Experts.

If we are doing same for L900, new candidate selection option setup showing disabled and giving msg as: there is no template corresponding to the current layer configuration, select the template to be used in the zone when adding new candidate site…

What is the solution of it?

Did you already create antenna pattern in L900?

No, we are new to this tool, learning it…

How to create?

Beam pattern can be created on:

  1. Parameter (tab).
  2. Radio Network Equipment (folder).
  3. Antenna (folder).
  4. Create new (right click).
  5. Antenna: New Record Properties (complete the form with 900 MHz data).

You can combine 2 or more beam pattern in 1 physical antenna.

Thanks…

We have to plan an area with:

  1. 90% Area to be covered with -110 RSRP?
  2. Min Edge Thp DL and UL (200kbps)?
  3. Coverage overlapping should be 20%?

What is the setup by step process, any vlog or post here?

Sorry for my late response.

For your requirement you can set in Objectives tabs, then create parameter each objective :

  1. RSRP, can be set the minimum value as per requirement.
  2. Overlap, can’t set by percentage of overlap, but can be set by delta margin from first best serving to n (can be set how many server in overlapping area) best serving at 1st - nth difference.
  3. Throughput, can be set at RLC (it’s download RLC throughput). or using PDSCH CINR or RSRQ mapping to throughput value, can be set by coverage of each parameter that mapped to throughput.

For video sorry, not yet created for this part yet.

Option 2: overlap margin is available in Atoll.

Yes, in my atoll still don’t have that option :v:
