Why 2 Synchronization signals (PSS and SSS) are required?

Why can’t we just use any one to decode physical cell id by making its range from 0-1007?

A division for time synchronisation is under PSS and SSS.

PSS are made of zedoff chu sequences having constant amplitude zero correlation which helps UE figure out slot boundry since same info is repeated in sf0&5 so a UE figures out slot boundry and ultimately performs slot / sf synchronisation.

In SSS, m-sequences used which helps UE in frame synchronisation since phase shifted info is shared in both sf’s, also it helps UE to figure out CP / Ecp configuration along with group I’ds.

There is a total deep level physics involved in both the processes.
