Why 2 RE per Port is required if more than 2 CSI RS Port are configured?

Hi Experts,

If CSI RS Port > 1 than we need to define 2 RE per Port.
Why 2 RE per Port is required if more than 2 CSI RS Port are configured?

I guess it is to provide orthogonality in frequency/time.

But in same antenna port why we need orthogonality.
