Which CSI-RS strategy is better?

Single CSI-RS resource with 32 ports (E) or with 4 beamformed CSI-RS with 8 ports (N)?

What are gain vs loss for both schemes.

this is kinda a direct comparison between ericsson and Nokia.
Nokia claims their design brings 5db better SINR values for PDSCH.
