For external interference, if possible, visit on highly impacted site location and use Spectrum Analyzer and connect with your Antenna.
Did you identify the suspected Direction?

If you have high RTWP your issue is external interference.

Is it good practice to go up to site location (assuming rooftop), leaving the sector behind you and moving spectrum antenna around?

The problem was cheaper repeaters, if this people use Andrew or Comba or Cornin don’t have problem.
This equipment have price of 60 USD.
I don’t agree… If your existing frequency band used by other it will surely impacted.
The problem is from isolation, as you can see is on one channel of 200 kHz.
Exactly what I did, but was using Anritsu Spectrum.
More simple is to make a fast spectrum scan from the OSS.

Sorry I didn’t check traffic.
I solved 107 issues of high RTWP and all were cheaper repeaters.
This equipment repeat all bands from 700 to 2500 MHz.
Have you tried to reduce height or lower power?
No I haven’t done that.
But I used to pick them up if there.
But with these sites am not picking up anything.
The issue is yagi antenna of repeater.
If you change azimuth of antenna sector and RTWP reduce, then your problem is external interference.
