In poor RF, if bler target is low drop will reduce.
But normally we set 10 percent.
You can try to do test with multiple data calls.
In bler 15 and bler 10 in poor sinr.
But in good rf u will find gain.
Check bler value case.
What do you mean by drop here?
I assume failure to demodulate the data?
BLER KPI if less than 12 you can increase, but if your BLER KPI is like 18 or 20 and you increase bler target.
Your KPI will be worse than that.
12-15 bler kpi is acceptable.
And less than that is not good for throughout.
But if it is able to successfully demodulate the data with higher BLER, then user will get the data with although with some errors.
But drops will increase that’s the concern as retx will be high.
Obviously you have eNB max threshold and harq parameter to reduce drops.
But throughput gain not seen in BLER KPI above 15.
