The 5G Converged Charging System (CCS) architecture consists of four distinct modules:
- Charging Function (CHF) :
- OCF(Online Charging Function) providing quota management functionality under Credit-Control terminology
- CDF(Charging Data Function) providing CDRs generation functionality for charging events received from the CTF or CEF via Nchf

Account Balance Management Function (ABMF) : Balance and Quota Management

Rating Function (RF) :
- Rating of data volume
- Rating of session / connection time
- Rating of service events -
Charging Gateway Function (CGF) : Collect/Validate/Parse/Enrich the RAW CDRs and distribute Processed CDR to Billing.
