What Company do you think will win the 5G race?

News aren’t always unbiased.
IMHO Huawei, Zte, Samsung, Ericsson… they are well positioned technically.
Nokia has the opportunity to be, but we’ll see.
There will a lot of politics on standards as well.

Huawei initially only tested their network against their own phones.
It has to work with an ecosystem.
btw : I love huawei features’ names !

They have funny names sometime indeed.
Huawei will lose market because they refused to embrace open RAN.

Google or Amazon.

I believe there shouldn’t be operator vendor concept.
Vendors should own 100% of the network.

The global race is about Data.
If operators bring in vendors, who owns the data?
The operator or the vendor?
In this background, I believe Google Amazon would start acquiring cellular operators in order to get the Data.
Also I believe there’s significant amount of restructuring possible in cellular business.
Three or four operators should survive in the world.
And they should have their own equipment.
Google Microsoft and Amazon are good candidates.
In technology world, when margins shift, only the best survive.
Microsoft Excel ended the business of all the spreadsheet vendors.
No one knows who’s number two in corporate spreadsheet business. Excel has 95% of the business.
Same should happen in cellular business.

No ways you will collapse the ecosystem of telecom.

What is the meaning of these votes? :slightly_smiling_face:

It will not change anything for us if all company is doing healthy business.
Telecom will grow and we have more scope to grow, to work.
Just a thought :slightly_smiling_face:

See the number of patents that Huawei has, it is number one.
So much of 5G development wasn’t done any of Vendors.
But due to World politicians, I have not seen any win win situation among Vendors.

And yes at some extent I agree with @sumangupta87 .

For me is an indication how each vendor is seen by its employees.
