What advantage does network/UE has with overlapped BWPs?

Hi Experts,
A question on BWPs.
As you know, different BWPs can have different numerologies and they can overlap too.
What advantage does network/UE has with overlapped BWPs?

You can configure certain BW to be re-used in 2 BW Parts but not at the same time.
It is useful for applications which need very small BW like IOT. U can configure small part of the BW to be used as IOT and if not used as IOT at a certain instance it will be used as part of the bigger BW and increase the max capacity.
Almost like Cloud Air Solution.

When the BWPs do overlap, they cannot be of different numerology, right?

There is no such limitation.
But there is limitation for example max 2 BWP for same numerology.
For specific UEs is only max 2 BWP for same numerology.
But in general there are max 4 BWP configurable.

Upto 4 BWP you can configure, it is fine that different BWP overlap with different SCS, as at a time only single BWP activate.

Now that I think about it after going through some literature, a bwp is characterized by its numerology too along with other parameters. So, overlapping BWPs should have same numerology. Correct me if my understanding is wrong.
