Gents, if VoLTE calls facing mute frames with a specific user at a specific place, what could be the possible reasons?

Note: call does not go silent from beginning only mutes during conversation for 4 to 5 seconds and then conversation restores but it’s happening in very good radio condition, with SINR reaching from 8 to 10 and RSRP -91 to -95.

Any ideas, what could be the reasons?

As far as we know so far there is no way to detect such of these mute frames through any counters, it is experienced by user.

First you should check RTP packets in DL.

Do they arrive every 20msec (more or less) or not?

I guess they do not arrive for 4-5 seconds.

The reson of mute call are possible 2: highe UE tx power at speaking UE and low RSRQ/SINR at listening UE

So you need also network traces for this.

Not just 2 UE device traces to check RTP packets.

Issue caught

We have eliminated it by swapping the sim with other handset and the issue did not appear as well as other handsets are working fine on same location.

Conclusion; issue found with handset .
Customer using Nova 7.
