Hi,
I have a problem with sound delay during outgoing calls. My voice reaches the other person with a noticeable delay. This issue does not occur when my conversation partner calls back. When I hold both phones to my ears, the delay is only noticeable during outgoing calls. What could this be?
Hi @mati5000 Can you please clarify some points;
- Do you have the problem with always the same UE?
- Are both UE’s are being served by same PGW and same P-CSCF?
- If no have you tried switching the PGW and P-CSCF?
- Does P-CSCF and PGW located on the same data center?
Not enough information to answer the question.
Are you and your partner in the same country same operator?
How long is the delay 1 second 2 second?
Have you heard the rings before B party answer the call? I need few of those questions ansewered to give ahint.
The person is in the same country but on a different network. The problem only occurs with outgoing calls.
This gives a a hint that it is a call routing issue. If you can provide answers to below questions we can say for sure.
1)Do those operatiors a have a direct bothway interconnect between them or using another national carrier to provide that service?
2)If not then that sums up the issue and ask your IPIC career to check there call routing.they might be using long call routes than your counter part.
3)If you have direct route then the issue is in your internal transport network which carries the media. Check the call anchoring points in your network like BGW.
4)everything is pointing towards a call routing issue for this one
thank you kind regards
Isuru
