UE power headroom analysis required

Hi all.

UE power headroom analysis required, what are the items need to check?
How to categories worst cells and what are the recommendations for improvement?

TBSPowerRestricted of Ericsson and PHR for Nokia can help to analyse that.

In the context of LTE (Long-Term Evolution), PHR stands for Power Headroom Reporting. It is a mechanism used by User Equipment (UE) to report its available transmit power to the base station (eNodeB) in the LTE network.

The purpose of PHR is to allow the eNodeB to effectively manage the resources and allocate appropriate power levels to UEs. By knowing the power headroom of each UE, the eNodeB can make informed decisions regarding resource allocation and power control, ensuring efficient and reliable communication.

What is Mean by Power Head Room (PHR)?

Ans : PHR is defined as a mechanism followed by UE to report its available power to the eNB/gNB. so that the Base station will effectively manage resource allocation to the UEs ensuring efficient and reliable communication.

PHR = Pmax - Ppusch
where
Pmax = Maximum Transmit power
Ppusch = PUSCH power
If Reported PHR is +ve then UE has some bandwidth in transmitting more data if allowed by Base station
If Reported PHR is -ve the UE is already exhausted in transmitting with more power than allowed.

The following table shows the different PHR report can be given by UE to Base station.
