Hi Experts,
Anyone tried LTE RRC inactive state in network?
For SA does UE perform registration area update to update its location to AMF or need to perform TAU update as well?

TAU is no procedure in SA.

Everything in SA is Registration Request, no separate TAU.

LTE protocol standard not have “RRC inactive” state, only RRC_idle and RRC_connected.
5G NR introduce new state “RRC-inactive”, it’s like cell-FACH/cell-PCH state in UMTS.
