UE Idle After 20s — VoLTE QCI1 Inactivity Timer Ignored?

Hello. If i turned off data on Android during volte tests, InactivityTimer for qci is 60s, dynDrx off, vendor Huawei…QCI1 inactivity timer switch activated…UE still goes to idle after call ended after 20sec. Inactivity timer for other qcis is 20sec. Why?

Hi Tanec,

your question is little unclear since you have missed or dropped important letters while you type your question but according to what I gathered is QCI 1 inactivity timer is set to 60 s which means media supervision is set to 60 seconds and while you are on the call your doing a mobile data off.since you set to the media supervision to 60 seconds call should proceed up until at least 60seconds but it is getting disconnected around 20 seconds thats the question I guess right? very good question.Giving you some more background,In modern day handsets even though if you switched off the mobile data all of a sudden UE want drop QCI5.Which means volte registratio and sip signalling was kept alive. But the dedicated bearer will get dropped.then Media supervision counter started and counting till 60.But remember this media supervision timer is set in BGF and only getting effected to the PGW and BGF/MGW part of the bearer there is another part between UE anchored in Enodeb till PGW leg that is goverened by a different accessnet timer so that timer might be going off before the IMS media supervision timer thats the only reason I can think of which can disconnect the call early.Cannot be SIP timers since SIP connection wont get effected in moder day handsets even though you disconnect the mobile data.
