In the UK, mobile data usage tripled between 2018 and 2023. In Europe, the average monthly data usage per SIM is now over 15 GB and continues to climb rapidly. Meanwhile, traditional voice traffic continues to shrink.
For both device manufacturers and network operators, data performance is now the benchmark.
But throughput is just the result. To fix or improve it, you need to dig deeper into modem logs and correlate KPIs like:
RSRP / SINR / CQI → MCS
BLER, Rank Index, CA
MAC / RLC / PDCP TP
