Trail or Trial?

Hello dear Experts.

I see a lot of people writing “Trail” instead of “Trial” (that i believe is the correct) when referring to some test / experience / experimentation, etc.

What is your opinion about that?

Is it wrong (a typo) or can the Word “Trail” also be used to refer to a trial?

It should be trial but I guess list of trials can refer to trail of trials…

I believe the correct is “Trial” only.

Trial is correct.

Correct is Trial.

On lighter note - use of trail instead of trial sets apart a telecom engineer from crowd :grinning:
