To use VoWifi is LTE registration a must?

Where indoor LTE coverage is poor or almost zero.

And Indoor has broadband Wi-Fi coverage.

Depends on Operator policies.

Some require LTE registration, while others don’t.

Example of policies that they can use for VoWiFi reg:

  1. Based on UE Reg status in MME
  2. Based on cell colocation
  3. Based on UE location
  4. Anything goes, Vowifi during Flight mode or No service
