Throughput at application layer calculation (by considering protocol overhead) when PHY throughput is given

Hi Experts.
Is there a calculation available to find the throughput at application layer (by considering protocol overhead) when PHY throughput is given?

For example:

  1. What could be the expected throughput at app layer for 4x4 20 MHz LTE cell with PHY throughput 300 Mbps ?
  2. What could be the expected throughput at app layer for n77 40 MHz cell with PHY throughput 256 Mbps?

IP Throughput at APP Layer should be min of 95% of PHY Layer, or else there are drops at lower layers.

Assuming the typical BLER is 10%, shouldn’t the App be at lease 90% + overheads?

You don’t have to estimate or calculate.
Any drivetest tool will provide this. It depends on cqi, retransmissions, initial bler etc.
Not easy to calculate with rlc and mac retransmissions.
