Three key elements of 5G

5G services are comprised of three key elements which can be combined in numerous ways to develop more tailored solutions that exactly match client needs.

• massive Machine-Type Communications (mMTC): which is ideally suited to connecting low bandwidth IoT sensors and enables low power consumption end devices, extends battery lives and allows for deployment of IoT sensors in new contexts.

• ultra-Reliable Low Latency Communications (uRLLC): supports guaranteed communications with latencies of down to one millisecond, and allows new business- and time-critical use cases to be supported by mobile networks.

• enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB): supports significantly higher throughput speeds than 4G, and is well suited to bandwidth-hungry applications such as fixed-wireless access and entertainment services onboard connected cars.
