Sustainable Delay Minimization Strategy for Mobile Edge Computing Offloading under Different Network Scenarios

Edge computing can reduce the delay and offload the network traffic on the 5G mobile network. Still, there’s little understanding of its impact on energy consumption.

Our latest paper investigates the trade-off between delay and energy efficiency under several network traffic situations. This paper offers new insight into using NOMA, a multiple access technique for 5G, that can reduce the delay by 10% while ensuring sustainable mobile network operations.

The paper is published under Special Issue: Developing 5G/6G Wireless Technologies for Sustainable Communication Systems by MDPI.

Congratulation to Dr. Admoon Andrawes, the first author for his contribution to this paper.
