Hello there. I have some very basic questions related to Legacy HO and RRC Establishment / Re-establishment in DC.
In DC, the UE is connected to MCG and SCG at the same time. If the UE experiences a RLF in the MCG, the UE will trigger a fast MCG recovery procedure or a RRC Reestablishment procedure (I guess re-establishment to the MCG). If the fast MCG recovery fails (fast recovery failure), the UE will perform RRC Reestablishment to the SCG.
In another case, when the UE performs a Legacy HO, will the UE perform RACH and RRC Establishment or RRC Reestablishment to the target cell?
I have read that RRC Establishment is performed when the UE goes from RRC Idle to Connected. But it’s not clear to me whether UE performs RRC Establishment or Reestablishment when handovers to another cell.
