When sending an RLC PDU the UE/eNodeB may poll the eNodeB/UE to send a STATUS report and starts the poll retransmit timer. If a timeout occurs, then the RLC PDU is retransmitted. By extending the time for polling allows additional time for the PDCCH to be used for scheduling of other UEs. This change is intended to reduce the PDCCH congestion and hence the DL User Throughput and serve other UEs. Parameters ‘tPollRetransmitUl’ and ‘tPollRetransmitDl’
