As per my understanding during ENDC procedure at RRC reconfiguration message eNodeB PRACH parameters.
I mean just like in this way, do you have NSA NR RACH flow?
If you have the call flow, please send.
With I.E. context containing related preambles, index etc.
Here you have an example:
Pinaki_Mohapatra:
In NSA option 3x how will UE send RACH message, control part here is Master eNodeB…
So how in NSA UE can directly communicate with gNodeB without ENDC?
MeNB first send SgNBaddition request over X2, in the response of that message MeNB will get the SIB1 parameters (that contains RACH config) of gNB that will be further transmitted in RRCReconfig.
Yes!
Then after complete flow NR RACH NSA.
Maybe this will help you illustrate what you are looking for in relation to the END-DC RA Process:
No this is ENDC.
Number 5 steps RACH part for ENDC.
In this case if RACH failed then ENDC will not establish.
But let suppose your ENDC KPI is good, but NR RACH sucess rate degraded.
And then?
Here is a RACH 5G from a real UE log QUalcomm chipset:
Pinaki_Mohapatra:
In this case if RACH failed then ENDC will not establish.
But let suppose your ENDC KPI is good, but NR RACH sucess rate degraded.
And then?
That’s not possible.
One of the main counters in ENDC Drop is RACH failure.
Pinaki_Mohapatra:
In this case if RACH failed then ENDC will not establish.
But let suppose your ENDC KPI is good, but NR RACH sucess rate degraded.
And then?
In that case it will count as 5G drop.
And will be pegged under 5G drop counters of context release cause would be RLF.
No, it will not count as 5G Drop.
I think you are seeing LTE perspective…
Point is, there are separate KPI ENDC for LTE and NR.
You can’t merge it.
In ENDC, suppose your LTE KPI perspective view is OK, but NR perspective view is degraded…
Then need to check log in gNodeB E1-AP and F-AP interface.
I am not merging…
You himself given answers yes it will be pegged to both differently.
L2 logs will capture it as singalling always flow with LTE.
That’s the the thing I am asking during ENDC setup RRC reconfiguration complete at UE, then RACH failed, obviously ENDC failed.
In ENDC setup UE RACH is the part of process.
UE have to RACH with gNodeB during ENDC process.
In NSA, during ENDC setup process, UE first time latch with gNodeB, without doing RACH with NR ENDC will be not completed.
But as I have been asked my question: if your NSA ENDC KPI is good, but NR RACH Success Rate DEGRADED, then how you approach?
Again, ENDC Drop will degrade.
But point is: ENDC KPI is 100% ok.
