What is the progress in Open RAN standardisation, and when its expected by 3GPP?

My understanding is that Mavenir, Parallel Wireless, and Altiostar are to some level supporting O RAN.
The ORAN is not mature enough to take on traditional RAN OEMs such as Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei, Samsung etc.

Yes…
But then its contending hard to reduce the architecture being used currently and making it simplified like plug and play.
There are many nodes removed in the new ORan architechture.
