Private SA(npn) to public SA seamless mobility

Hi Experts.

Anybody has any thoughts of private SA(npn) to public SA seamless mobility?

I want to test handover or reselections from NPN plmn to public network SA PLMN.

S-NPN to public PLMN (non common radios)

Or should we have PNI-NPN to have a seemless mobility?

Does SIM supports both networks?

What is PLMN priority set in SIM?

Public SA if second priority then it can take upto 6-7min before the 2nd PLMN is selected.

Don’t think there is any handover possible since I haven’t seen any interfaces b/w public and private networks, so mobility is pretty much you get out of coverage of high priority PLMN, handset tries several times before its moves to 2nd priority PLMN.

NPN should have 1st priority, public has 2nd and SIM able to support both PLMN (like in the case EPLMN scenarios).

Check the timer setting from EPLMN selection.

Are there other functions to optimize these networking changes?

I also have this scenario here, but even with the OPLMN EF set to 6 minutes (Minimum possible), we notice that sometimes the UE remains connected to the network for a long time.

So you guys either have SNPN or PNI-NPN ?

Therefore I can understand if we are on the same page. Not a topic for eplmn.

We develop a SIM app on device triggers a return to hplmn after 2 mins or instantly, phone triggers auto.

Under mobile service on your phone there is SIM applications option.

Operators are free to put any application there.

But is this a customization from the smartphone?

I’m asking this because the default software available to our network doesn’t have this SIM application.

I’m understanding that we will need to develop this with smartphone vendors.

Yes, it is not an default app.

It is developed.

Why not use the HPLMN (timer) field in the SIM Card customization?

Tis is exactly what that field is there for?

But this HPLMN timer is 60 minutes, not sure can be set lower than 60 minutes.
