Private LTE Deployment and Performance Monitoring

Hello All.

If anyone has public documents or suggestions related to Private LTE deployment and performance monitoring, please share them.

Why it should be different than a regular MNO deployment?

Give us 1-2 weeks time as we have an accepted paper which compares a private LTE deployment for two MNOs. Once the final camera ready version is prepared, we will upload it on Arxiv and share it.

Meanwhile, you could check the following papers (though they don’t have performance results).

Hope this helps. Thanks.

Hi @Ramanuj_Singh

While this isn’t exactly a document, I’d like to share a few key points about monitoring Private LTE networks.
Since private networks are tailored to meet specific needs, it’s crucial to evaluate application requirements—especially for latency-sensitive applications, areas or points of interests to be covered, etc…
End-to-end monitoring is essential, with clearly defined alarm triggers to quickly detect performance deviations that could impact user experience or critical applications.

Additionally, it’s important to map all elements of the network topology—radio access (UE/CPE & eNB), transport, EPC, switches, routers, firewalls—and yes, even your application servers’ health. (Because let’s face it, the network always gets blamed first, right? :upside_down_face:).

Finally, keeping an eye on capacity utilization is vital to know when to optimize, balance, or expand resources before bottlenecks arise.

I hope this helps.
