Periodic vs A-Periodic SRS in sub 6 GHz and mmWave

Hi Experts.

Is it true that in sub 6 GHz bands SRS is preferred to be scheduled periodically where as for mmWave it is preferred to aperiodic?

If yes what’s the logic behind this?
