Now is the time to take 5G indoors

We are talking about Health Industry.

But, I understand your position.

Can you name one use case that needs 1 msec latency?

Maybe AR / VR / XR but we are not yet there.

5G is good because it solves operators capacity problems.

I think the same, we need VR to deal with the distance.

And AR deals with small organs, and XR mixes everything.

Also do you know an application of user that needs more than 30 Mbpsec?

I mean end user.

It is not for end users, it is for Health Sector or Industry.

Capacity can be solved with Option 3x.

Real 5G will begin with SA, with 5GC and full slices capacity.

Yes, I agree with your point here… I don’t think majority of commercial current mobile telecom carriers will start with SA.

1ms latency… pufff

In Latin America, they have to change whole TX network to achieve it :joy:

Too many changes, and for what?

What is the benefit apart of huge costs?

More, what is the urgency to deploy 5GC?

Yes, I agree.

Really? We have to change everything in 3GPP I think.

I really think that 5GC will begin first with private 5G SA networks.

Private networks are a reality indeed.

Many factories have it.

But as LTE, not as 5G SA.

How does it work in your country?

In Guatemala, IP network is still not so good in latency, 2 big telecom companies: Claro (America Movil) and TIGO (ex Millicom).

And both companies has problem with congestion on TX links for mobile and fixed services.

I am thinking about Guatemala yet.

We have Claro, Vivo, TIM, and a lot of foreign enterprises. Not so different.

It is a developing country like Brazil.

5GC deploy will become easier than any ever core network, using the SDN/NFV and the cloud providers everything is a simple code deployed in the cloud and you can have your copy easily and quickly and pay on the use.

5GC will make MNO sell their network as NaaS, you can buy the slice that fits your need and this will open big doors for MNO.

Did you hear about the recently complaint of companies that cloud costs are getting higher and higher?

The big matter I guess if for the RAN part, if we could have cloud deployment and the MEC latency can be reduced a lot.

No, can you share any article about, normally public cloud should break the TCO?

Here is one:

How is it work MEC without RAN part? I am sorry. I am not understanding your viewpoint.

It is not gaming, it is dealing with lives. That’s the difference. We already have 5G SA in the industry here.

Well… I can note the spending.

Let me know please when it will match the revenue.
