The market for virtualized and cloudified telco software is a crowded and confusing place, full of incompatible supporting platforms and what are uncharitably called vertical silos.
Europe’s telcos have spoken out about it a few times and it seems just as unwelcome to big software developers.
Nokia’s answer, revealed during a press conference on June 29, is to concentrate resources on just one of those platforms and hope telcos like it.
But it’s far from certain they will.
