My decision to step back from telecomHall Administration

Hello everyone,

I hope you’re all doing well. I’d like to share some thoughts and be open with you about my decision to step back from telecomHall.

Over the years, I’ve dedicated myself to creating a space where everyone could access valuable resources for free. Many of you have been with me for decades, and I truly appreciate that. However, I’ve come to a point where continuing this work no longer feels sustainable, and I want to share the reasons behind my decision.

  1. Lack of community engagement
Despite countless efforts, there has been minimal participation. For instance, when I asked for feedback on the roadmap or introduced new features and tools, the response was very limited. Many initiatives that could have benefited the entire community, like open-source tools, didn’t receive the involvement they needed to succeed.
  2. Carrying the work alone
Most of the work has been done by me, with very little collaboration. While I’ve always been passionate about this project, working alone for so long has made it increasingly challenging.
  3. Financial investment
For years, I’ve maintained telecomHall with my own money, spending about $200 every month. While finances are not the primary issue, the lack of active support from the community has made it hard to justify this investment.
  4. Feeling undervalued
At times, the work felt ignored, which has been discouraging. I’ve always aimed to create something meaningful for everyone, but the lack of acknowledgment has been difficult to navigate.
  5. Sustainability
Considering the low engagement and my personal investment, I’ve realized that continuing in this way no longer makes sense.

Because of this, I’ve decided to stop the regular work I’ve been doing. I’ll be transcribing all the content we’ve created so far and making it available on a static site so that it remains accessible to everyone.

That said, I truly believe in the value of telecomHall and the incredible community we’ve built together. If any of you are interested in taking over the project and continuing this journey, I’d be thrilled to see it live on. Please feel free to reach out to me if you’re willing to step in and carry this work forward.

Thank you all for being part of this journey, and I’ll keep you updated as I finalize the transition.

Hi, @leopedrini. Telecom specialists are a specific type of people. Gathering such people together is a difficult task. However, this is the most successful project I have ever seen. In addition, there are far fewer of us than, for example, IT specialists, and more knowledge is required. I hope that the accumulated knowledge base can be preserved in at least some form. In any case, I want to say thank you for your work!

Hi Leonardo,
You have done a great job!
Be assured that you have single-handedly achieved building this vast community and requires no affirmation from anyone.

I thank you from my heart and hope to keep in touch with you.

Hi Leo,
It’s a bit sad to hear this, but I understand that, in addition to your personal commitment, it’s not easy to manage such a large group of experts on your own.
I’m not skilled in managing such a platform and am already on my way to transitioning into another field.
I would have humbly suggest reaching out for volunteers to assist with the administrative tasks to prevent the group from possibly falling into “deep sleep.”
Thank you so much for creating and maintaining this amazing group. It’s now everyone shared responsibility to keep it thriving.
Well done Leo!!

Hi Leo,
I hope you’re doing well.

It’s really sad to hear that you’re no longer managing TelecomHall. Let me tell you, you were doing an amazing job!

From my experience, I believe the lack of responses to your posts might not reflect their value but rather the fact that very few people have deep expertise in the telecom domain. I’m sure your content has been helping many - even if they aren’t always vocal about it.

Speaking for myself, that’s definitely true. I joined this group because I have limited knowledge and a strong desire to learn. Your 4G and 5G roadmaps have been incredibly valuable in enhancing my understanding of this field.

I sincerely think you should reconsider your decision.

What if we form a group of individuals interested in acquiring telecomHall?

Investing $200 individually might be difficult, but together, we can make it more manageable.

Good idea!

I agre, it’s a good idea.

Good idea!

Honestly, TelecomHall needs to transition from a “WebForum” format to a “Social Media” app model. As you can see, people rarely log into the TelecomHall website to ask questions, but they find it much easier to engage in the WhatsApp group.

Currently, the TelecomHall website offers a valuable consultation service for free. Imagine transforming it into a subscription-based social media platform—this could unlock significant potential.

Consider finding an investor for this :bulb: idea!

I agree!

If TelecomHall had an app where we could freely discuss these topics - logging in once and seamlessly engaging - it would be amazing.

It’s true that what we’ve achieved is remarkable, but please , there’s still more to do!

Don’t let mass effect overpower the group effect.

A Big Thank You to Leonardo

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to take a moment to express my deepest thanks to Leonardo for everything he’s done for all of us through telecomHall.

Leonardo, your passion, dedication, and selfless contributions over the years have created a unique space where so many of us have grown, learned, and connected — often without realizing the depth of effort you were putting in behind the scenes.

It’s truly admirable how you’ve kept telecomHall running with such consistency, investing your own time, energy, and money — all while asking for little in return. You created a platform that offered value freely to a global community, something rare and commendable in today’s world.

While it’s saddening to hear you’re stepping back, I understand and respect your decision completely. You’ve carried this vision forward singlehandedly, and I can only imagine how exhausting it must have been — especially when met with limited engagement and support.

Please know this: even if it wasn’t always said, your work has always mattered. You’ve inspired countless professionals, shared insights that helped shape careers, and built a legacy that will continue to benefit others. The impact you’ve made cannot be measured by engagement metrics alone — it lives in the knowledge you’ve shared and the spirit of generosity that defines telecomHall.

Thank you, Leonardo, for everything you’ve done. If someone does pick up the mantle and continue the journey, it will only be because of the solid foundation you’ve laid with such care and commitment.

Wishing you peace, fulfillment, and continued success in whatever comes next. You deserve all of it and more.

With gratitude,

Thank you very much @Javed_Ansari :heartbeat:

In fact, telecomHall was never going to end — and it never will. It’s a legacy built by everyone who has contributed over the decades.

Just to share, after discussions with the “telecomHall Experts” group, we created a private group — an extra space. To be clear, telecomHall as it is today will always continue, just as it is.

But this additional space, supported by a $2 monthly subscription, was the solution suggested and adopted by the main contributors.

In this exclusive group, called the Hunter Club, we offer several additional benefits for these supporters.

Once again, thank you so much for the recognition.

And if you’d like to learn more about the club, here’s everything clearly explained — just like we always do at telecomHall: Welcome to the New Phase of Our Forum! :handshake:
