A network is planning to roll out 5G SA on 1800 band in limited areas as DSS solution. The network has existing LTE sites on same band in surrounding areas. Question is as same bands are used will there any level of interference from LTE1800 to NR1800 or vice versa that may impact 5G SA or LTE user experience? What mitigation can be adopted if such interference do occur?

DSS effectively avoids intra-cell interference between LTE & NR configured on the same channel. Not sure though if and how this is managed by neighbouring LTE only cells (no DSS). Probably a good idea to keep that frontier out of high traffic and/or high cell overlap areas.
