Hello everyone!
Brazil Operator Data Now Available - First Step in Our Journey
Today, I made available on our OneDrive the files from the mobile operators in Brazil. This marks the beginning of a new phase! Our goal is to learn together through modules, processes, and hands-on procedures. And the great thing is that what we learn here can be applied to other countries as well.
For example: we’ll automate the process of collecting data from the regulator, parsing it, storing it in a database, generating map visualizations, and evolving step by step together! The focus here is not just to share reports, but to actually work as a team.
The data is already available, but this is just the first step. We’ll be creating reports in Power BI, ArcGIS, QGIS, or any other tool that can give us insights. The idea is to use automation – mainly with Python – and VS Code as our editor, but feel free to use whatever works for you. What matters is that we all grow together!
In Brazil’s case, we have data from 27 states, and we’ll automate the download, concatenation, and processing. Everything will be available in CSV format for anyone who wants to explore.
Our next step will be to enhance this data to generate valuable insights. We’ll also set up automation to update the data daily and send us email alerts with changes, such as the number of newly added stations.
So that’s it! Let’s move forward together on this journey of learning and growth!
