Is there relation between maximum user, DL traffic volume and UL interference?

Hi Experts.

Is there relation between maximum user, DL traffic volume and UL interference?

According to these when will consider the cell has true interference or not?

Or is it there any formula?

Yes have relation with the load.

To separated the external interference, you may observed UL interference value when there is no load at non busy hours period.

It should decrease to -100 dB if there is no external interference.

See this:

Can you put in graph hourly?

I have daily I will check the hourly.

Interference is not unique value, commonly we can say understanding interference based on estimation approach, such including RSRP, RSRQ, SINR, CQI etc.

Also these metric depend on Traffic, Attempt, Mobility Signaling etc.

So better to check these 4 metric. Even CQI (Channel Quality) can give idea about interference.

If you have higher load you will have more interference.

If you have more mobility signaling you will have more interference etc.

So if you suspicious about external interference, generally your interference will be higher than -95 or more.

Also if you have external interference it will impact all around neighbour cells whichs are serving nearby to the main serving cells with same band etc.

So better to make classification with 2 steps:

  1. Higher than -95 with lower Traffic, Attempt , Mobility signaling
  2. Lower than -95 with including these metrics.

What is the counter name in Huawei to see the Uplink interference?

l.ul.interference.avg.prb1 to prb99 or average of all PRBs L.UL.Interference.Avg

But better to check all PRBs that you have 1 to 99 and can understand mostly which PRB impacted or between which PRB impacted by the interference.

And you can understand between which bandwidth impacting mainly.

Also you can check PUCCH and PUSCH interferences with L.UL.Interference.PUCCH.Index0…15.
