Hello Experts.
Is the message PDCCH DCI format 1_0[RA-RNTI] in 5g NR sent immediately after gnb detect msg1 (the rach preamble)?
If yes then what it actually provides?
Because in msg2 the UL grant sent and not in this message.

I don’t either see PDCCH DCI format 1_0 in the UE log.
But in Sharetechpoint I see it’s explained.

Needs to send within ra-responseWindow otherwise the UE will retx msg1.

But what this message called? I don’t see the name formate dci 1_0 message in UE log.
Retx? Do you mean reject?

The message is called MSG2.
Depending on your log analysis too you will be able to see it or not, as it is NOT a L3 message.

So it’s msg2 which it’s RAR message?

If the UE doesn`t get MSG2 within the ra response window, it will retransmit the MSG1, therefore, the gNB must send MSG2 within this time.
