Is it possible to restrict addition of far end neighbors in LTE through ANR?

Hello All.

Is it possible to restrict addition of far end neighbors in LTE through ANR?

You can tune the default RSRP threshold for adding neighbors through ANR.

This will limit the addition of unwanted neighbors.

I know in Nokia for example you can tune RSRP threshold for addition.

  • anrThresRSRPNbCell
  • MO:ANRPRL

In Huawei it was not possible, as far as I remember.

In Ericsson it’s possible.

Ok got it. In ANRPRL object.

It is configured as -100 dBm yet I’m observing addition of far end nbrs.

Any else to check?

You can increase by steps until you have suitable results.

Also you can blacklist far neighbors.

Can you please share the name of the parameter to tune RSRP threshold for ANR?

Do you the parameter name to blacklist neighbors in Ericsson? Or in any vendor?

There in a parameter named “isHOallowed” in Ericsson and in Huawei if I remember correctly is called “HO Allowed”.
You can set the value to “False” or “Forbid”, this will keep the relation in the network but restrict any HO attempt between them.
In Ericsson above parameter only works if the relation is added by ANR.
