Is it possible to configure different Measurement Gap pattern for LTE FDD and TDD?

,

Hi Experts.
Is it possible to configure different Measurement Gap pattern for LTE FDD and TDD?
For e.g. Gap Pattern 1 for FDD and Gap pattern 0 for TDD?

In Huawei it is eNB specific. And I think we cannot have different gap pattern for FDD and TDD.

My understanding is YES.
2 different technologies.

Yes possible always.
You can use gapconfig IE.

But in Huawei this parameter is eNB specific.

Then its challenge.
Can you configure TDD eNB and FDD eNB separately?

No, it’s not possible.
In other vendors, is it band specific?

It’s hardcoded for most of vendors.

It’s eNB parameter in Samsung.

Ok, thanks.
Any idea why it is not band specific?

It’s due to its LTE card in the BBU.
FDD and TDD cards are separated.

I am saying in terms of performance, not HW.

In Nokia yes.

Hi Experts.

After changing measurement gap pattern from 0 to 1, we got improvement in DL user throughput by ~5%.
But UL user throughput remain same.

Can you tell why there is no improvement in UL user throughput?

But what about inter freq attempts? Did it reduce?
And volume? Same or different now?
DL and UL volume.

It’s reduced by 3%. But intra has increased by 5%.

No change.

Pattern 0 is 6ms gap per 40ms, pattern1 is 6ms gap in 80ms?

Yes, exactly.

During gap, no scheduling.
So ptt0 less scheduling than ptt1.
But ptt0, UE may report A1/A2 more than ptt1.

Hmmm, Yes.

So, that may be the reason.
