If for NR in n78 there are multiple carriers and network having n41 band as well.
UE latch on n41 serving cell and sib4 showing cell res prio for n78 carriers as 7,6… then intra freq cell reelection will be prioritised or inter freq.
Is it mandatory to have SIB broadcast for intra freq cell reelection in NR?
In LTE like sib4 for intra freq not mandatory.
SA or NSA?
For 5G SA.
If cell reselection priority + subpriority is 7.6 for N78 in SIB4, then inter frequency reselection will be prioritised if cell reselection priority of N41 itself is less then 7.6
I mean n78 having 2 carriers with cell res prio as 7,6 and n41 having cell res prio 5…network having n41 same freq cells deployed.
Need to check if intra freq reselection criteria fulfilled and inter as well then which will be prioritised.
Intra freq reselection work on ranking concept.
Higher priority is always measured.
If UE is on N41 as in your case then inter frequency will be always priorities as N78 both carriers have higher priority.
For intra frequency reselection UE will first check for S criteria and then R criteria.
For SA, the UE has to read SIB2 for intra Freq and for inter Freq it has to read both SIB2 and SIB4.
