In option 7 series and option 6 UE exchange signaling with gNodeB.

And option 3 series and option 5 the signaling anchor is eNodeB.

It depends on the deployment option that your MNO decided to start with…

SRB3 includes signalling MR to gNB in option 3 if you enable.
