Impact of Disabled DRX on VoLTE Performance and PS Inter-HO Success Rate

Hello experts,

I would like your insights on the impact of disabling DRX on VoLTE and PS Inter-HO success rate (HOSR).

I have observed significant improvements in VoLTE performance, including reduced packet loss, fewer VoLTE drops, and better MOS (Mean Opinion Score). However, this comes with a slight increase in CCE utilization, PRB utilization, and active users.

At the same time, I have noticed a degradation in inter-frequency handover success rate (HOSR). Could this degradation be attributed to disabling DRX, or might there be another underlying issue affecting inter-frequency HO performance?

Looking forward to your expert opinions.

Disabling DRX for VoLTE QCI is generally done to improve VoLTE drop rates.

Yes, VoLTE drop rate improved, but HOSR degraded.
