I have a phone that supports 5G.
If the UE antenna is Rel15 and the phone is Rel16, will there be problems to connect to 5G?
Or it should not affect this and the phone should connect without problems to 5G?
There is no issue, even release 17 phones can connect to release 15 networks.
Releases within same G are mostly backward compatible.
There is no version defined for antenna.
Antenna just radiates and receives electro magnetic energy.
If the UE is rel 15 and if gNB is higher version than UE camps to gNB (in this gNB is rel 16).
Only if gNB is 70 MHz and UE is rel 15 attach ain’t happen as per 3gpp.
