Inside DCI many elements will be there like mcs / new data indicator / redundancy version/ time domain resource assignment/ vrb-prb mapping/ last identifier for DCI format (1 bit ) - downlink or uplink

Format 1_0 / 1_1 dl
Format 0_0 / 0_1 ul

But to identify DCI format you should know what’s the DCI Size. So next question is how UE will know the DCI size ?
