Hello 2G expert, please i am working on live Network , i need support, Want to improve tch and SD cong without the option of trx expansion , please any feature to implement

Hello Experts!
Can you please help to reduce SD congestion (2G) in Ericsson System?
I have already optimized the specific cell by adding SD channel in TRX and Channel dimensioning (TCH to SD).
My question is “Are there any logical parameter by which I can reduce the sd congestion”?
It is for multiple sites with different locations.

Hi ,

It’s long back since I have worked in 2g but I remember in Ericsson system there is a feature…

  1. Sdcch congestion- dynamic tch to sdcch conversion_ it help in deducing the sdcch congestion.
  2. Tch congestion_ changing HR threshold from 20 to 50 depends on traffic carried by trx.
    Change DMTCH- Dynamic full rate tch to half rate tch conversion threshold.
    Change layer from layer 1 to layer 2.
    load sharing your with nbr cells.
    Check amr FR and AMR codec support.
