How many 20 MHz LTE cells can be configured with combination of 1FSMF + 2FBBC?

Hello Nokia Experts.

How many 20 MHz LTE cells can be configured with combination of 1FSMF + 2FBBC?

I am not able to configure more than one 20 MHz cell with FSMF + 2FBBC and getting an alarm “Not enough hardware for LCR”.

Is there any other configuration changes required?

You should connect 2 OF to the RF carrying LTE.

Are 2 CPRI cable required?

Why 2?

RRU will have 1 port from BBU.

Nokia RRU has 3 opt ports.

Cascading ports + 1 sync port?

Yes. And all SFP should be FSOH.

Use the two port of the FBBC.

You will need 2 x 6 Gbit/s fiber links to each RRU doing 3 x 20 MHz Cells with 2x2 MIMO.

Or if it’s more modern RRUs - you may be able to use 10Gbit fiber link between BBU and RRU. The FSMF supports this. With 10Gbit/s it may possibly be enough with a single link for 3 x 20 MHz with 2x2 MIMO. Perhaps someone else have experience here …

Tested OK with this set up!!

Thank you

Atleast 5 such cells can be added in this configuration.

It also depends upon the type of radio module that is being used - such as AREA or FXEB…

Assuming it is 1800 MHz

To be very precise - up to 6 sectors 2T2R with 4xFXEB LTE 20MHz
