I would like to address a very common question that I am frequently asked about sharing study materials. First of all, I do not rely solely on vendor documents to understand concepts or gain deep theoretical knowledge. Vendor documents are generally more focused on practical applications and real-world optimization actions, which can later help enrich the theoretical understanding gained from other sources — sources that I will list shortly.
The key point here is that I do not have a single “magic” document that can provide complete understanding of any subject. Instead, I go through hundreds of sources until I feel I have a solid grasp of the topic. Afterward, I summarize the information in my own way and compile it into personal study materials, some of which I usually share at the link below. See the first comment for an example of how many documents I went through to understand subjects like PDCP, RLC, and MAC in RAN protocols.
My Main Study Sources:
- 5G NR in Bullets Book
- The new generation wireless access technology book
- 3GPP TS & TR
- Blogs such as Sharetechnote, Techplayon, Mathwork and others
- YouTube channels (many)
- LinkedIn (Articles)
