How eNB can detect how many users in there beam area?

Hello Experts.
How eNB can detect how many users in there beam area?
Is there any KPI used for that?
What I mean how eNB can figure out if at that beam sector coverage area there is higher users distribution or not?

gNodeB has counters with users per beam.
Nokia has.

Do you mean by those counters gNB can see how many UEs are found in that beam area?
In other words: it gives indication on the users distribution within that beam?

gNodeB always know each user in which beam it is from PMI reports or SRS measurements.

Thanks.
But I meant even before attachment, in the SSB broadcasting stage, at initial attach steps.
Like if you have 400 UEs distributed within specific beam, how gNB can sees that this beam has higher users distribution even before RRC connection?
