Dear Experts.
We are getting high number of 4G to 5G ho failures and reason for failure is stated below.
What can be the reason for this?
MME terminates the relocation towards the AMF by sending a Relocation Cancel Request message to AMF.
MME also resumes operation on the resources in the source side.
I am not an expert but quick googling shows that if this message is triggered by MME then it’s likely caused by eNB or UE deciding not to handover and thus cancelling the entire procedure.
Have you check if eNB trigger any message?
Have you got traces on MME and/or eNB?
Got pcap traces and in pcap it shows that MME triggeres relocation cancel message towards AMF hence cancelling overall HO procedure.
Where was that trace taken?
It was taken at gNB end.
