Hello everyone,
Has anyone experienced an issue where a Huawei ONU (HG8145V) keeps disconnecting mostly during the night, for example between 2 AM–5 AM or 4 AM–8 AM?
I’ve checked all the configuration settings and everything appears to be normal, but the disconnections are still happening during those hours. Any ideas on what might be causing this?

Check the OLT syslog records. The issue might be related to a local power problem at the ONU or some electrical interference affecting the ONU.
If you observe multiple disconnections in the logs, review them carefully to identify the root cause.

Thanks, I’ll check and get back to you.
What to do if the numbers look “Perfect” (-19 to -23 dBm):
If the signal is healthy, the issue isn’t the physical glass line. It’s likely software or power:
The “Dying Gasp” Test: Go to System Tools > System Log. If you see “Dying Gasp” at 4 AM, it means the ONU lost power suddenly (bad adapter or wall socket).
Firmware Updates: If it happens at the exact same time every night (e.g., 3:00 AM sharp), your ISP is likely pushing a configuration refresh that your specific unit is struggling to ha
